Bang PD, YG and VMAs

One week before VMAs

"So," Bang PD nim starts, one evening at The Gangnam Bar, seated across from YG. 
"Your girls, at VMAs? "

"Yup. " YG begins. "They'll be performing" He says with a hint of arrogance. 

"Congrats" Bang PD nim forces a smile, a jab of jealousy at the pit of his stomach. 

BTS would merely be making an appearance. All his pleas for a performance vehemently denied by the VMAs. 

And here this loser and his pack of skinny girls getting the opportunity on a silver platter. 

"Jennie will steal the show" Bang PD nim says carefully, wheels spinning in his head. 

"Totally" YG says proudly, a faint blush mottling his cheeks. 

"She'll snatch a lot of deals. "Bang PD nim elaborates thoughtfully. "A record deal, several CF deals. Probably."

"She's prolly gonna stay in America a lot longer than the rest. " He says. "And prolly end up putting up there permanently." Bang PD nim finishes, and steals a glance at YG. 

The blush on YG's cheeks deepens to an angry red. 

"Nah. "YG stutters. "She ain't that special. " He says looking asphyxiated. 

"I'll bet on it. "Bang PD nim says smoothly. 

"Fine. "YG slams his fist on the countertop. "Hundred bucks says she won't get any deals and won't put up in America and be back in my dungeon in no time". His voice rises to a crescendo. 

"Hundred bucks it is. " Bang PD nim utters and quietly takes a sip of his evening vodka.

One day after VMAs

A dejected looking Bang PD nim thrusts a 100 dollar bill in to a triumphant looking YG's hand. 

"See, " YG begins, his face glowing. "No deals for Jennie. " 

"And safely tucked away back in my dungeon too!" He finishes. 

"No $hit Sherlock. " Bang PD mutters, trying his best to look sombre - when in reality, he's completely elated. "They didn't attend! " 

"I know right." YG says loudly slapping his palm on the countertop.

"I scrapped their VMA performance at the last minute." He elaborates cheerfully. "VMAs threw a tantrum. But I held my ground. " 

"Nobody will take my girl away from me. " YG says, a determined look on his face. " She belongs in my dungeon. " 

Bang PD nim quietly sips his vodka. 

Across the bar at a good vantage point, SM notices the devilish smirk playing on Bang PD's lips just as he takes a sip of his vodka.
